Boulder Oaks near Buckman springs

I have been here but have not stayed over night. The Pacific Crest trail passes through the campground. If you really wanted to you could ride to Mexico or Canada, Though the Lagunas would be fine for me.

For those wanting to ride in the lagunas or can not get into the cuymackas this might be a good alternative as it is just a short ride.

Only equestrian sites are reservable. But there is rairly a need to reserve as it quiet out here. Campground is composed of two loops - one for equestrian and the other for family campers.  The equestrian loop has a corral at each site.  The vegetation is dominated by Live Oaks, Manzanita and Sage.  Interior road is dirt and was somewhat eroded. All pull throughs are located in the equestrian loop.  There is waste station at Buckman Springs Rest Area off Interstate 8  no fee.
