Verde River trail

If by chance you are headed north out of Prescott Az. I would make time for this ride.

Set amongst the panoramic vistas at the confluence of the Verde River and Granite Creek. The River is about 4300 ft. elevation

Off Highway 89, at at Paulden

30 miles South of I 40

30 miles North of Prescott

Riding from the trail head you will think you are entering some small finger of the Grand canyon, but are really riding down to the Verde river. Where Deer, elk, and Beavers live.

From Paulden Hwy 89 take E. Verde Ranch road east for 1.4 miles across railroad tracks left, follow road parallel to tracks. In about 100 ft take the first right a dirt road, the road splits but re joins in a couple hundred feet. From the railroad tracks to the trail head is 2.5 miles.
